South Korea's industrial output was slightly down in September due mainly to a fall in output in the service sector.
According to Statistics Korea, overall industrial output fell zero.4 percent from the month before.
The mining and manufacturing sectors picked up slightly, but production in wholesale and retail decreased.
Private consumption was also down two percent on-month, because of a drop in sales of food and clothing.
The agency said the drop is due to temporary factors, such as the impact of several typhoons last month.
