The South Korean women's national volleyball team earned their first win at the 2019 Women's Volleyball World Cup on Monday, defeating Japan 3-to-1.
Led by outside hitters Lee Jae-young and Kim Yeon-koung's combined 48 attack points, the 9th-ranked South Koreans rallied back to defeat the 6th-ranked Japanese side at Yokohama Arena.
The win was desperately needed as South Korea lost their first two games.
South Korea's next match is against 5th-ranked Russia on Wednesday.
