The South Korean men's football team is off to a flying start, after beating Turkmenistan 2-nil, in their first qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday.
With the two Group H nations facing off in Ashgabat, South Korean midfielder Na Sang-ho scored his first international goal to give the Taeguk Warriors the 1-nil lead, before midfielder Jung Woo-young added a second-half insurance goal with a brilliant free kick.
Led by Portuguese coach Paulo Bento, South Korea are looking to qualify for their 10th straight World Cup.
Meanwhile, North Korea defeated Sri Lanka 1-nil, giving them their second straight victory to put them top of Group H.
