South Korea's under-18 baseball team won the bronze medal at the Under-18 Baseball World Cup in Busan, after a dramatic victory against Australia on Sunday.
Down 5 to 4 at the top of the 9th inning, Lee Ju-hyeong from Gyeongnam High School delivered a 2-run homerun to give South Korea the 6-5 lead, and the victory.
The third place finish gives the South Koreans their third straight medal finish at the Under-18 World Cup, after winning bronze in 2015, and silver in 2017.
Meanwhile, Chinese Taipei pulled off a major upset in the championship game, beating the defending champions Team U.S.A, with a 2 to 1 victory. The latest victory gives them their third gold medal, and their first in 9 years.
