Japanese auto sales in Korea are continuing to nose-dive amid the ongoing boycott of Japanese goods triggered by a trade spat between Seoul and Tokyo.
According to the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association on Wednesday, Japanese car sales tumbled 56.9 percent on-year to around 1,4-hundred vehicles in August.
This compared to the 17.2 percent on-year fall posted in July when the boycott first began.
This has corresponded to a falling share of Japanese autos in the Korean market, down to 7.7 percent last month, compared to 16.9 percent a year before.
