U.S. hopeful North Korea's denuclearization can be achieved by end of 2020: Pompeo Updated: 2018-06-14 08:27:20 KST

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, fresh from his trip to Singapore for the North Korea-U.S. summit, has been holding post-summit discussions this morning with President Moon Jae-in at the Presidential Office of Cheong Wa Dae.
Keeping the South Korean leader in the loop by making Seoul his first destination after Singapore, Pompeo was due to discuss upcoming measures to speed up North Korea's denuclearization.
Upon his arrival on Wednesday, America's top diplomat said the U.S. will seek a 'major disarmament' from North Korea within the next two-and-a-half years.
Pompeo also said joint South Korea-U.S. military exercises will resume if North Korea stops negotiating in good faith over its nuclear program.
