Seoul's defense ministry unveiled, an innovation plan that reflects the current administration's state reform drive.
It mainly involves expanding the number of women in high-level positions within the department.
The MND aims to increase the ratio of female workers in middle-management, from 11.5 percent in 2017 to 23 by the year 2022.
Within the same period, the proportion of females soldiers will also be raised from 5.5 percent to 8.8 percent.
It also plans to enhance the public's participation in various policy-making decisions, implement anti-corruption measures, and stregthen education to prevent sexual violence.
