While President Trump says the U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal will not derail his upcoming meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Trump's national security advisor says the president's message is very clear.
In a press briefing after President Trump's announcement on Tuesday, John Bolton says withdrawing from the Iran deal "sends a very clear message that the U.S. will not tolerate inadequate deals."
He added that "the message to North Korea is the president wants a real deal."
Trump has said a nuclear deal with North Korea "can be a great thing for North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and the entire world", and the U.S. hopes it will all work out.
