Korean victim of Japan's wartime sexual slavery dies, only 30 registered survivors remain Updated: 2018-02-14 18:00:56 KST

South Korea lost another elderly victim of Japan's wartime sex slavery early this morning, leaving the number of registered survivors at just 30.
Identified only by her last name Kim, she passed away after suffering from a stroke and severe dementia.
She was 88-years old.
Her death comes as Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe insists Seoul abides by a controversial agreement the two sides reached in late 2015.
The Korean government calls the deal, sealed under the previous administration, "seriously flawed,".
President Moon Jae-in vowed not seek renegotiations,.. expressing hope for a sincere apology instead.
