Torrential rains lashed the central regions over the weekend, triggering floods that left at least four people dead, and two others missing.
The city of Cheongju in Chungcheongbuk-do province, was among the hardest hit, seeing over 300 millimeters of rain.
Landslides left two people dead, while a farmer and a camper in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, initially reported missing, were also found dead this morning.
Road and rail traffic across the region saw severe disruptions, while hundreds of residents had to evacuate homes due to flooding.
Rescue and restoration efforts are ongoing.
