Late-summer heat continued in the central inland regions today, including here in the capital, but down south, readings hovered in the upper 20's under cloudy skies.
While heat wave advisories have been lifted, sweltering conditions will continue in Seoul under partly sunny skies tomorrow while the southern provinces get heavy clouds and rainfall on Jeju.
More showers are on the horizon. By Thursday up to 40 millimeters of precipitation is expected down south and could be accompanied by thunder and lighting. Seoul may also get spotty rain.
So starting Thursday, temperatures will drop to the twenties in the capital. And on Friday, it will cool down to as low as 27 with nationwide showers in the forecast.
As for tomorrow, in Seoul
lows will start off at around 23 but will hit a high of 31 by afternoon, Daegu and Busan will climb to 28, while Gwangju hits 29.
Daejeon will reach 31 while Jeju and Dokdo peak at 27.
