We start this morning with the latest developments on the investigation into April's ferry disaster. and things are beginning to pick up a head of steam
The latest we know is that the driver of the deceased Sewol-ho ferry owner Yoo Byung-eun, turned himself into the authorities a couple of hours ago.
Yang Hwe-jeong , the closest aide and assistant to the tycoon remained at large for two monthsand police believe he may hold the key to finding out what Mr. Yoo was doing in the weeks, days and hours before his mysterious death.
On Monday, the driver's wife, and another close aide of Yoo Byung-eun, turned themselves in to the prosecution.
Prosecutors have also formally arrested Yoo Dae-kyun , the eldest son of Yoo Byung-eun.
He's charged with misappropriating more than nine-and-a-half million U.S. dollars of funds of the ferry operator and its affiliates.
The authorities say this was partly to blame for the sinking that left over 300 people dead or missing.
Many of Yoo Byung-eun's other family members, including his wife and elder brother, have been arrested on similar embezzlement charges.
His second son Hyuk-ki , is hiding abroad.
