North Korea launched more projectiles into the East Sea this Monday.
A South Korean military official said the North fired off around 120 artillery shells from multiple rocket launchers in Goseong-gun near the military demarcation line.
The official said that none of the projectiles landed in South Korean territory but noted that it's unprecedented for the North to fire off rounds so close to the border that separates the two Koreas.
It's presumed a 122-millimeter multiple rocket launcher was used,. which has a range of up to 20 kilometers.
The South Korean military remains on high alert for additional provocations.
