The long-stalled multi-lateral talks on North Korea's denuclearization otherwise known as the six-party talks may not be the answer to solving the regime's nuclear issues -- this the latest analysis from a U.S. scholar.
In an interview with Yonhap News Agency, Katharine Moon of Brookings Institute said China do not possess the power to persuade North Korea away from its nuclear ambitions and that the energy and creativity of six-party talks have been exhausted.
Moon, on the other hand, suggested the U.S. proactively engage in opening a new channel of conversation with North Korea even if it's behind-the-scenes.
