Parliamentary committee adopts resolution on Japan's military movesUpdated: 2014-07-11 22:49:33 KST
Korean lawmakers on this Friday took aim at Japan's recent moves to expand its military role in the region.
The National Assembly's foreign affairs committee unanimously passed a resolution that condemns Tokyo's decision to exercise its right to collective self-defense, labeling it a provocative act and warning it could seriously undermine peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
Earlier this month, the Japanese Cabinet approved a new interpretation of its pacifist constitution that will allow Japan to come to the military aid of an ally under attack.
