South Korea has accepted North Korea's offer to send a cheering squad to the Incheon Asian Games in mid-September.
Seoul's unification ministry said Monday that it will take steps to prepare for the hosting of the North Korean athletes and the cheering squad, in accordance with international practices.
If all goes to plan, it would be the fourth time for the North to send a cheering squad to a sporting event in South Korea.
The last time a squad visited was nine years ago during the 2005 Asian Athletics Championships also held in Incheon.
Pundits expect around one hundred cheerleaders to visit the Incheon games.
