Israel has arrested several suspects over the abduction and murder of Palestinian teenager, Mohammed Abu Khudair.
Security sources say they have six Israeli suspects in custody but this could rise depending on how the investigation goes.
They are being questioned by Israel's Shin Bet security agency but no further information has been released.
Lawyers for the suspects say they have no connection to the teenager's murder.
"We do not yet know all the details, according to all the publications and what we have understood, it is difficult at this stage to understand if there is a connection between the suspects and this specific incident."
Investigators, however, believe Abu Khudair was murdered by far-right Israelis as revenge for three Israeli teenagers who were killed last month.
The autopsy showed the 16-year-old had been burned alive.
"They burnt my son, they will not bring back my son. My son's blood is worth more."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he would respond firmly to the killing and use all means available to bring the perpetrators to justice.
He added that he would not allow extremists to ignite conflict in the region.
However, tensions between Israel and the Palestinians are bubbling over.
Israel launched air strikes on 10 sites in the Gaza Strip late Sunday in response to rocket fire directed at Israel.
