Under pressure to reconsider her nominee for prime minister, President Park Geun-hye will re-evaulate his qualifications after returning from a week-long trip through Central Asia.
The presidential house of Cheong Wa Dae said the president would look at the issue more closely, and then decide on whether to make a formal request for a confirmation hearing.
"The president is receiving updates on domestic affairs from top aides during her trip. No motions requesting the confirmation of nominated Cabinet members will be made until after she returns to Korea."
