The build-up is now over the 2014 World Cup kicked off in the wee hours of this Friday morning, Korea time, with tens of thousands of fans packing the stadium in Sao Paulo to watch the opening match between the host nation, Brazil, and Croatia.

Good afternoon guys, and it all started with the opening ceremony at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.
With thousands of fans in attendance, there were some interesting performances to kick off the 2014 Brazil World Cup including rapper Pitbull, and singer Jennifer Lopez.
Some other unique acts also took part in the opening ceremony just before the first match between Brazil and Croatia kicked off.
But the most interesting part of the ceremony had to be a paraplegic taking the first kick in an 'Ironman'-like suit.
