Search resumes at ferry owner's religious compoundUpdated: 2014-06-12 09:13:42 KST
Police and prosecutors have entered their second day raiding a religious compound belonging to Yoo Byung-eun, the fugitive owner of the sunken Sewol-ho ferry.
The search resumed Thursday morning and nearly 4-thousand police officers, with court-issued warrants, were dispatched to the Salvation Sect's main compound in Gyeonggi-do province, south of Seoul.
Authorities are scouring the grounds for Yoo and about a dozen members of the sect who are suspected of helping him escape the massive manhunt.
Police and prosecutors are also looking for possible underground hideouts within the compound.
