Thai army chief to meet with political rivalsUpdated: 2014-05-21 20:47:43 KST
It's day two of martial law in Thailand.
In an effort to find a peaceful solution to the political crisis Thailand's army chief summoned the leaders of rival political groups and parties for a dialogue.
And in the meantime, the country's interim government has called for fresh general elections on August 3rd.
This comes after the election commission last week, said it was logistically impossible to hold elections by the previously-set July deadline.
Thailand's caretaker prime minister said he would meet with the electoral body to finalize the date as early as next week.
