The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has raised this year's growth projection for the Korean economy to four percent, up zero.two percentage points from a forecast made in November.
The organization says it expects Korea to post steady growth, with exports picking up thanks to free trade pacts with major economies like the U.S. and European Union.
For 2015, the OECD projects the Korean economy to grow by 4.2 percent.
This year's outlook for the global economy went the other direction, down zero.two percentage points to 3.4 percent.
