UN convenes emergency meeting to discuss North Korea's missile launchesUpdated: 2014-04-10 16:48:04 KST
Amid fresh threats of another nuclear test by North Korea, the United Nations' North Korea sanctions committee will convene an emergency meeting on Thursday, local time.
The committee is expected to discuss Pyongyang's recent missile launches and address concerns that a fourth nuclear test may be in the works.
This is the first meeting between the 15 member nations since North Korea fired a series of ballistic missiles late last month.
The UN Security Council had said the missile launches were a violation of UN resolutions and that it will come up with necessary countermeasures.
