The key to future economic growth in Korea is developing the nation's contents industry.
That was President Park Geun-hye's message to her committee for cultural enrichment on Friday.
The president told them an environment should be established where people can receive the investments and customized support they need to succeed based on their creative ideas.
President Park highlighted the need to differentiate Korea's cultural contents from those of the West, to increase their global competitiveness.
She then said all creators of cultural contents should be treated fairly for their work, and their copyrights protected.
