President Park asks diplomats to focus on achieving peaceful reunificationUpdated: 2014-04-02 06:28:02 (KST)
Despite the rhetoric and artillery shells flying over the inter-Korean border, President Park Geun-hye isn't abandoning her hopes for a unified Korea.
At an annual dinner with ambassadors and top diplomats in Seoul Tuesday evening, the president asked that they do all they can to achieve a peaceful reunification.
She also explained to them in more detail the proposal she rolled out last week in Germany.
Referring to her three-year economic innovation plan that was announced earlier this year, the president called on the diplomats to help Korean companies expand overseas, create more jobs and increase foreign investments.
