The Islamist militant group responsible for Sunday's bus bombing in northeastern Egypt that killed four people, including three Koreans, has warned all tourists to leave the Sinai peninsula by Thursday, or risk being subject to further attacks.
In a statement posted on jihadist websites, the al-Qaeda-linked Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis based in Sinai also said one of its members successfully blew up the tourist bus heading towards Israel, then declared an "economic war" against the Egyptian government.
Insurgency has intensified since the Egyptian military overthrew Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July of last year, but the militants, who mostly targeted soldiers until now, are now trying to batter Egypt's fragile economy by orchestrating attacks on tourists.
