It's been a year in the making and on Monday, a UN panel is set to conclude North Korea should face international punishment for its systematic abuse of its own people.
According to reported leaks of its findings, the UN Commission of Inquiry on the North's human rights will say the regime has committed crimes against humanity and should be referred to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
North Korea has long been accused of grave rights abuses ranging from holding hundreds of thousands of political prisoners in concentration camps to committing torture and public executions.
Pyongyang has long denied the accusations.
The Commission will present its final report to the UN Human Rights Council next month.
