Many Koreans have started making their way to their hometowns, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
Passengers are already beginning to crowd train stations and bus terminals on this Wednesday, a day before the four-day holiday begins.
Transportation officials expect over 27-million people to travel around the country this Lunar New Year.
Heavy traffic is expected on the highways starting this afternoon and the congestion will reach its peak tomorrow.
Some Koreans are even heading overseas during the holiday, with some 270-thousand people expected to leave the country.
