South Korea's top security officials came together on Thursday to discuss North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's recent inspections of strategic military units.
A weekly security meeting held at the presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae, was attended by Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin and intelligence chief Nam Jae-joon .
On the same day, North Korean state media reported that the young dictator had observed a training exercise of unit 3-2-3, known to be a special air force unit, although the report did not mention when he made the trip.
Kim visited the same unit following the nation's third nuclear test last February.
