Pope Francis continues to spread his message of peace and unity, this time calling on the two Koreas to work toward reconciliation on the Korean peninsula.
In a speech to the Vatican diplomatic corps Monday, the pope said he trusted that, for the good of all the Korean people, the interested parties will tirelessly seek out points of agreement.
Francis also said he was gravely worried about the humanitarian situation in Syria and said urgent aid should be allowed to reach all parts of the country.
He also pleaded for peace in Egypt, Iraq, South Sudan, Nigeria and the Central African Republic.
