South Korea proposes to discuss resuming inter-Korean family reunionsUpdated: 2014-01-07 06:27:57 KST
Following President Park's call for inter-Korean family reunions, Seoul has officially proposed to Pyongyang a fresh round of talks this week to discuss resuming the meetings for families separated since the Korean War.
South Korea's Unification Ministry says Seoul's Red Cross sent a message to the North on Monday, suggesting a working-level meeting on Friday at the truce village of Panmunjom.
The two Koreas had agreed to hold the humanitarian event in September last year but Pyongyang unilaterally called off the plans at the last minute.
