Korea has chosen two U.S. companies - Boeing and Kaman Aerospace Corporation - to manufacture air-to-ground, GPS-guided bombs for its F-15K and KF-16 fighter jets.
Seoul's Defense Acquisition Program Administration said Monday that it has selected Boeing to make the wing kits and Kaman to make the detonators.
GPS-guided bombs have a high degree of accuracy and are designed to fly directly to their targets.
Officials say the bombs will help enhance the military's precision attack capabilities.
