President Park to preside over ministerial security meeting MondayUpdated: 2013-12-16 (KST)
Let us begin this Monday afternoon at the nation's top office where President Park has JUST convened a meeting of the nation's foreign affairs and security ministers to discuss the situation in North Korea.
South Korea is keeping a close watch on the North, based on an understanding that Jang Song-thaek's execution suggests the Kim Jong-un regime is not as stable as previously thought and that Pyongyang could possibly launch a provocation to turn people's attention away from its internal issues.
Those attending this afternoon's meeting include President Park's top security adviser Kim Jang-soo, the country's defense, foreign affairs and unification ministers, as well as the chief of the spy agency chief.
