President Park Geun-hye slammed the recent comments made by opposition party lawmakers, and expressed her regret over the current political impasse.
Park emphasized that lawmakers are caught up in disputes. when they need to focus on the people's livelihoods instead.
Here's what she said during a Cabinet meeting.

"I believe that the public will know that drastic remarks going so far as to spark conflict and divide public sentiment are just aimed at creating political strife, and are definitely not for the country nor the people."

President Park's office has strongly denounced the remarks by opposition lawmakers., accusing them of trying to incite terrorism and encourage harm against the head of state.
The president also emphasized that it is the government's duty to protect the people's safety and democracy, especially at a time when North Korea is carrying out a "reign of terror" to solidify the leadership of Kim Jong-un, which could further disturb inter-Korean relations.
