NATO foreign ministers condemn 'excessive force' in UkraineUpdated: 2013-12-04 PM 12:04:31 (KST)
The foreign ministers of NATO have condemned the use of what they call "excessive force" against protesters in Ukraine, and urged all parties to refrain from further clashes.
In a joint statement Tuesday, the ministers said Ukraine should abide by its international commitments and uphold the freedom of expression.
They also called on both the government and opposition to engage in dialogue.
This comes after police used batons and stun grenades to crackdown on demonstrators protesting against the president's recent decision to back out of a trade deal with the European Union.
