Senior Chinese official to visit Seoul for high-level strategic talksUpdated: 2013-11-15 06:27:53 (KST)
China's State Councilor Yang Jiechi will visit Seoul this weekend for high-level strategic talks.
South Korea's Foreign Ministry says Yang will arrive on Sunday for a three-day visit, to meet with President Park Geun-hye and hold strategic talks with Chief Presidential National Security Adviser Kim Jang-soo.
The two are expected to discuss a wide range of regional issues, including the North Korean nuclear threat.
The foreign ministry said the visit is a follow-up to a bilateral summit agreement reached in June on the establishment of a channel for dialogue on security issues.
