Korea's monthly exports topped 50-billion U.S. dollars for the first time in October, raising expectations for a stronger-than-expected economic recovery.
The trade ministry said Friday that the nation's outbound shipments last month rose 7.3 percent from a year earlier to 50.5 billion dollars.
Imports also spiked around 5-percent to 45.6 billion dollars widening the trade surplus to over 4.8 billion dollars.
