Drone strike kills at two al-Shabab leaders in Somalia - eyewitnesses
A suspected U.S. drone strike in southern Somalia has reportedly killed two senior al-Shabab commanders.
Eyewitnesses say the drone fired a missile that destroyed the militant's vehicle instantly as the two targets were headed to a major al-Shabab base.
One of the deceased is said to be al-Shabab's top explosives expert, known as Anta.
Earlier this month, U.S. Navy SEALs conducted a raid, but failed to capture an al-Shabab commander.
Al-Shabab is the main al-Qaeda linked group in East Africa.
The group carried out the attack on a Nairobi mall last month that killed at least 67 people.
