Pres. Park calls on police to root out four "social evils"
Speaking at a ceremony marking the nation's sixty-eighth Police Day on Monday, President Park Geun-hye called onthe police to root out four "social evils" for the safety and happiness of the public.
The president asked police officers to respond more proactively to illegal acts that go against social discipline and safety.
She also emphasized the importance of preventing new types of crime -- especially phone fraud such as voice phishing and smishing.
