Nuke plant probe finds 277 quality certificates forged Updated: 2013-10-10 14:36:14 KST

In the latest news on Korea's nuclear power plant scandal over forged documents
The Office for Government Policy Coordination on Thursday announced the results of its investigation into the affair, saying nearly 280 documents certifying the safety of the nation's 20 currently operating nuclear plants were confirmed to have been forged.
The government has indicted some 100 people involved in the scandal so far, including suppliers and certification officials, on charges of document fabrication, as well as the former president of the Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Corporation and the vice-president of the Korea Electric Power Corporation on charges of taking bribes.
The government said, however, none of the plant break-downs reported over the last ten years were caused by parts supplied under the forged documents.
