International investigators join Kenyan probe into mall attack
Western countries are helping Kenya investigate a terrorist attack at a busy Nairobi shopping mall in which at least 67 civilians and military personnel lost their lives.
The investigative work by the U.S., Britain and Interpol began a day after Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta declared the siege has ended, but there are still an unknown number of bodies under debris and collapsed floors.
Intelligence reports have revealed the plot was masterminded in weeks in advance by the Somalia-based al-Shabaab terrorist group and suggest a British woman and a few Americans were involved in the plot, but nothing has been verified yet.
At least 10 people are reportedly being held in connection with the attack.
