Kenyan security forces sweeping Nairobi mall for militants
Over to the mall siege in Kenya,
Officials there say the hostage crisis is now over and that security forces have taken control of the Westgate shopping center in Nairobi which was attacked and held by radical Islamist militants since last weekend.
Addressing the nation, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said five of the gunmen were shot dead during the military operation and 11 others are now in custody.
The attackers, claiming to be the al-Qaeda linked militant group in Somalia, said in a message on a Twitter account that they were still resisting the Kenyan government for its military involvement in Somalia.
At least 67 people died in the four-day seige and more than 1-hundred-70 were injured.
