Fitch confirms Korea's sovereign rating at AA-
While emerging markets have been rattled by questions over the U.S. Federal Reserve's plans to taper its massive stimulus program, Korea got a boost in confidence from ratings agency Fitch on Thursday.
The global credit appraiser reaffirmed Korea's sovereign rating of double-A-minus with a stable outlook.
Fitch cited the country's sound macroeconomic policy in its decision, and said the economy has been dealing well with global risk aversion.
Fitch has maintained Korea's double-A-minus rating since September last year, when it was upgraded from A-plus.
