Koreas prepare for reopening of Gaeseong complex
Sung-hee, the two Koreas just agreed last week to reopen their jointly-run factory zone in the North.
How are preparations going for that?
South Korea's unification ministry said it's in its final stages of preparing the draft proposal for the formation of a joint committee that will oversee the management of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.
The two Koreas will first exchange their draft proposals through the inter-Korean hotline, but if they can't reach an agreement, they will meet in person for further dialogue.
Seoul is expected to send its first proposal as early as tomorrow.
A South Korean communications and power inspection team is scheduled to make its second trip to Gaeseong on Monday for a check on the facilities.
They made their first visit yesterday and said that there will be no problems with supplying the complex with power and reconnecting the communication lines there.
Now, once the inspection is complete, South Korean businessmen with factories in Gaeseong will be allowed to visit the complex to make their own preparations.
