KBO: Kia's Yoon Suk-min volunteers to be closerUpdated: 2013-08-05 20:42:52 KST
And moving on to the Korea Baseball Organization, the KIA Tigers' bullpen has been struggling as of late, and starting pitcher Yoon Suk-min wants the chance to help turn things around.
The right-handed pitcher volunteered to close out games, and said that he would forget about his free agency status at the end of the season.
And, it's not the first time Yoon has come in to save the day
He has amassed a total of 37 saves in his nine-year career, although the last one was back in 2011.
Still, it looks like the Tigers will give Yoon a shot at pitching out of the bullpen.
He pitched two-thirds innings yesterday as the closer, in a 6 - nothing victory over Nexen.
