Damage from last month's heavy rain in North Korea seems to be having an impact on the country's annual summer military exercises.
Citing a South Korean government source, Seoul-based Yonhap News says troops in the North have been ordered to restore areas damaged by the heavy rain.
Up to 900 millimeters of rain fell in parts of North Korea in July, killing roughly 60 people and destroying over 100 square kilometers of farmland, while flooding more than 26-thousand buildings.
North Korea is known for conducting large-scale military exercise around this time of the year.
