 N. Korea ready for another nuke test, concerned about China: Hecker
A renowned U.S. nuclear expert says North Korea has "everything in place" to test its nuclear capability for the fourth time since 2006, but is being stopped by pressures from its main ally, China.
At a seminar in Vienna, Stanford University professor Siegfried Hecker, who got to tour the North's clandestine uranium enrichment facility three years ago, said Pyongyang used only one of two prepared underground tunnels during its third nuclear test in February of this year.
Hecker added the regime is aware the price that comes with another nuclear test will "mostly be determined by China."
Following the February 12th test, Beijing has been actively voicing concerns about Pyongyang's nuclear programs, and further tightening financial sanctions against the regime.
