More troubles with the country's nuclear reactors this Friday.
The state-run Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Company says the number 5 reactor at the Hanul Nuclear Power Plant on the east coast of Korea stopped working at about 3:30 Friday afternoon.
With authorities still investigating this comes less than a month after the million kilowatt reactor was reactivated after being shut down from early May to mid-June for maintenance.
Nine out of Korea's 23 nuclear reactors are currently out of commission, and the latest development is expected to fuel more concerns about the nation's power shortage problem amid rising temperatures.
