Moving on to the latest on the North Korean defector issue .
Seoul has urged Pyongyang to protect the safety and rights of nine young North Korean defectors who were recently repatriated from Laos via China.
The South Korean delegation at the UN Human Rights Council said on Wednesday that their security must be guaranteed and that they should not become subject to unjust punishment back in their country.
Seoul also wanted Pyongyang to allow independent actors, such as the Council's Commission of Inquiry into the country and to cooperate with their study of human rights conditions in the North.
Nine countries, including the U.S., Japan and Canada supported Seoul's requests, but Pyongyang claimed it is protecting its people and will continue to exercise its sovereign right and duty.
