President Park Geun-hye to Appoint 7 Ministers Early Next Week
Moving onto domestic politics
President Park Geun-hye will formally appoint seven Cabinet ministers next Monday amid the continuing standoff with the main opposition party over the government restructuring bill that's left state affairs in limbo.
Presidential spokeswoman Kim Haing said Thursday that President Park will appoint the heads of the unification, justice, culture, welfare, environment, labor and gender equality ministries.
Right after the press briefing, the ruling Saenuri Party and the main opposition Democratic United Party agreed to allow the appointment of six other ministers that will be given different official titles and duties when President Park's government restructuring bill comes into effect.
